I'm Donnie Ray Reynolds, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my official website. This is a place where I'll share my music, my experiences, and my journey with you.

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's been a constant companion, a source of inspiration, and a platform for self-expression. From my early days learning classical and flamenco fingerstyle guitar to performing as a key member of the Christian Rock group Malachi, and now as a solo artist, every step of my journey has been filled with unforgettable moments and valuable lessons.

Well, got to looking on here and many of my previous posts disappeared?  Maybe I forgot to save?  Not sure.  But anyway, back to it.  Continuing to enjoy this journey of music.  Shows are finally starting to happen more frequently, and getting a lot of good feedback.  

The hard work is the endless practicing to learn and keep up with the songs, always updating equipment, programming, fixing stuff that mysteriously goes bad, lol.  Seems like it always happens 5 min before a show?

I have really been updating my home studio and it is pretty nice now… Just trying to write songs again and then get time to start recording my original projects.  I have been doing mostly cover songs in the shows and slowly starting to input some original tunes.  I never tell anyone they are original.  I like it when they say “ who does that song”

One of my goals is to have an hour to hour and half of a show of just my own original music.  When I was with Malachi, a Christian Rock band years ago, we had several recorded projects and could play 3-4 hours of just music we wrote and performed.  That was so cool…. Anybody can play cover tunes, but doing original music is something special.  But I must say, even when I play cover songs by other artists, I can't help but put my own style in them.

I have recently started working with another Drummer and bassist.  Not sure what will come of this, but maybe might turn into something?  Both seem to be very talented musicians with experience. We will see….
